New Emergency alert service rings alarm - The Negotiator
, 15 July 2005
A new personal security service could get agents out of potentially dangerous situations and reassure colleagues and loved ones that they are save.
MobileSOS can be acced via any mobile phone, so that users can get an urgent message to colleagues quickly and easily....
Estate agents entering a potentially dangerous situation can even use a timer function that will trigger the emergency alert if not cancelled before the end of a pre-argreed time span.
As well as being a tool for emergencies, the service can also be used to reassure colleagues and managers. With a second pre-selected speed-dial number, agents can let their office know that they are safe, that they have arrived a a particular property, or simply where they are.
The safety of agens has been a concern in the industry since the disappearance and murder of Suzie Lamplugh when showing a supposed tenant around a property.
